Removing the Toxins - Cleansing the Nation

It is just past sunrise, late summer.  Before most people have their first cup of coffee we are amidst the pumps and digital readouts where two large gauge needles are being inserted into Goretex tubing and the precise blood flow rate is set.  A beep here and another there as tubes fill red beginning the day's cleansing process.  The five-foot tall Fresenius 2008H quietly cleanses our son's blood at 500 ml per minute.  The cleansing session that removes toxins from the body are four hours long and take place three days each week.  If only the chief executive of the USA could be hooked up to remove what poisons the nation.  If only the flow rate could be set to maximum and performed seven days per week.  If only the Cheney - Bush regime could be cleansed of lies, deception, corruption and incompetence.

Before the U.S. Congress adjourned for its August, 2007recess it debated whether tax dollars should be used to subsidize food stamps and health care of "illegal" immigrants.  The Republican Party says, "No!"  The mostly Christian GOP mocks their Jesus who admonished his followers to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, visit the imprisoned, shelter the homeless and take care of the sick.  The Republican Party prefers to reduce funding for Medicare, for cutting back on services for people with end stage renal disease.  The Republican members in Congress, Dick Cheney and his sidekick George W. Bush, want to cut funds for life-extending treatments such as dialysis for our son while increasing, yet again, spending for the war in Iraq.  The funding increases would raise the cost of the Iraq war to $3-billion per week, more than $300,000 per minute.  The Depravity Party prefers to fund the killing machine over saving the lives of the chronically ill.  The Republican Party and its Democratic Party enablers kill at both ends of their failed policies.    

Neo-liberals and neocons believe they can purge the world by passing differing ideologies, opinions, social order and religions through the filter of by greed capitalism.  Their notion of freedom and democracy means altering the content of any nation whose lifeblood is not like theirs: type $.  The Democrats are no better.  Ira Chernus in The Democrats’ Iraqi Dilemma - Questions Unasked, Answers Never Volunteered writes,

So whatever “leave Iraq” might mean, no candidate of either party likely to enter the White House on January 20, 2009 can think it means letting Iraqis determine their own national policies or fate. The powers that be just wouldn’t stand for that. They see themselves as the guardians of world “order.” They feel a sacred obligation to maintain “stability” throughout the imperial domains, which now means most of planet Earth — regardless of what voters may think. The Democratic front-runners know that “order” and “stability” are code words for American hegemony. They also know that voters, especially Democratic ones, see the price of hegemony in Iraq and just don’t want to pay it anymore.

So the Democratic front-runners must promise voters that they will end the war — with not too many ideologically laden ifs, ands, or buts — while they assure the foreign-policy establishment that they will never abandon the drive for hegemony in the Middle East (or anywhere else). In other words, the candidates have to be able to talk out of both sides of their mouths at the same time.

The sick and infirm neo-con Party uses the billions of dollars saved by not providing health care to eliminate and kill people around the world who don't see things their way.  How much more depravity is the Republican Party capable of?  The GOP hits a new low when it denies people the medical attention they require.  The GOP goes even lower when they fund depleted uranium, phosphorous bombs, cluster bombs, shock and awe, etc., over child inoculations, pre-natal care, dialysis, PTSD, etc.  This is the Republican Party that shoves its Lord and Savior, Jesus, down everyone's throats the way it shoves tubes down hunger strikers in GTMO.  Given the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus has a hot place reserved for Republicans.  If there was a reason Hell to exist, it would be you.  Yes, you who profess Judeo-Christian ethics as you ignore them.  You who lock up the hungry for pilfering food as you steal oil.  You who protect discarded blastocysts under the guise that "all life is precious" as you drop high altitude bombs on pregnant women and children.

When Dick Cheney needs a new battery for his pacemaker, the national media lets the world know.  The media, the propaganda wing of the neo-conservative junta, sets the priorities.  The Ministry of Public Opinion (MOPO) tells us when George W. Bush has his colonoscopy.  It tells us we should give a damn about Dick Cheney's ticker.  It tells us we should give a damn as it doesn't give a damn about us or our family members.  We are supposed to care about the so-called first family.  As for us and ours, well, screw you!  

 

Democrats Are Just As Toxic

David Lindorff in his piece Pelosi's Stand Blocking Impeachment in the House is Killing the Democratic Party  writes that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's "unprincipled 'impeachment-off-the-table' position...is killing the Democratic Party too, by driving away not just progressive members of the party, but independents who voted for Democrats last November expecting some action in defense of the Constitution."  Indeed it is. The United States Constitution is being poisoned by toxic buildup whose source is evermore obvious.  It is being destroyed by Democrats that are aiding and abetting the Republican Party and the fascists within.  That includes, among others, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Alberto Gonzalez, Andy Card, et al.  More and more it means holding Nancy Pelosi, John Conyers, Harry Reid, etc., accountable for doing nothing to protect and defend the Constitution from its domestic enemies.  Democrats are incapable of concluding that the only way to save the U.S. Constitution is to hold accountable those that have violated it.  

David Lindorff states, "I see this anger welling up among progressives and independents everywhere I travel, as people say they've simply had it with the Democrats."  I too, have "had it"!  I just got off the phone speaking with the office of Vermont's U.S. Representative, Peter Welch, who is opposed to impeachment.  I made it clear that I am disgusted with him, his fellow Democrats and Bernard Sanders (who as a congressman was an impeachment obstructionist and who now as a Senator continues to be opposed).  The people are so fed up Liberals and so-called progressives that polls now show the lowest approval rating for Congress since polls began.  Nancy, Peter, John, Bernie, don't you get it?  The people are demanding the rejuvenation of the Bill of Rights that define freedom and liberty.  The people  the U.S. Constitution demand impeachment.  Forty years ago, in a different age but under similar circumstances, Bob Dylan sang, 

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it's ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are changing.

Yes, "the line it is drawn" and "the curse it is cast".  You are either for defending the Constitution or you are against it.  The people are watching you Democrats.  As George W. Bush, whom you protect through your inaction on impeachment, has said, "Americans are rising to the tasks of history, and they expect the same of us."  Ladies and gentlemen of the House and Senate, the people are rising to the task that is required to defend the U.S. Constitution.  Be forewarned.  If you are not with us then you are against us, and we are against you.  We will replace you. And when justice is served, make no mistake about it, you will be held accountable.

Impeachment is a political process through which the nation is cleansed of the toxins the Congress normally would flush out. It is generally used when the executive branch no longer functions properly. This can be a result of neo-conservative disease, long-term fascist tendencies, liberal inaction, and other destruction of the U.S. Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights. -- Jozef Hand-Boniakowski.
